Audrey DeMuth Community Room
Adults, are you an avid writer or are you just starting to write your first story? Join novice and experienced writers alike and hear their stories, as well as share your own.

On even numbered months, members have the option to bring writing to share with the group. Members can either bring writing based on the writing prompt for the month or whatever they are currently working on. Stories should be no longer than four pages or 1,000 words whichever is longer.

During odd-number months, a small writing workshop is conducted.

This group offers friendly but constructive critiques. Finally, participants do not have to bring any writing if they do not want to. Questions? Email Cassandra at coconnell@cretelibrary.org or call the library at 708-672-8017 for more information.

He is the Ivena Baldwin Professor of English at the University of Colorado Boulder.

Illinois librarian and Readers' Advisor Becky Spratford will join Stephen in conversation. A devout horror fan, she writes a horror review column for Library Journal, is the author of The Reader’s Advisory Guide to Horror, and is a proud member of the Horror Writers Association.
